About this place
Fuwari’s shaved ice is not crunchy; its fluffy texture seems to melt away on the tongue. Some visitors have remarked that the ice itself tastes of milk and stays soft right to the last spoonful, making the shaved ice as much a part of the pleasure as the toppings.
The Kinako flavour layers the milk-based ice with plenty of roasted soybean flour, then adds shiratama rice dumplings and kinako mochi. It is an appealing choice if you want a light texture with a Japanese flavour; visitors who have tried the kinako and sesame versions have also enjoyed their fluffiness. For fruit, Mango combines purée and condensed milk. Other options include Blueberry Cheesecake, with a sweet-tart fruit flavour and rich cheesecake notes, and Chocolate Banana, topped with shiratama and condensed milk. One visitor who ordered mango said the sauce paired well with the milky ice—a good choice for enjoying the fruit topping and shaved ice together.
There is also a spacious dine-in area on the 2 floor. One visitor took a break there while watching K-pop videos. It is a place to pause during a stroll around Tsuruhashi and take your time choosing a flavour. Shaved ice has been described as a seasonal offering, so check whether it is being served when you plan to visit.
